Disappointing film..

The characters lacked any real substance and weren't very sympathetic, the acting was nothing special and the dialogue was bland at best. Also, Keanu's acting came off as forced and awkward at times, as much as I respect him as an actor. The fighting scenes were ok but I found it a bit ridiculous that there was absolutely no sight of blood or even a bruise after getting punched in the face 30 times. What gives? Also, the plotline was generic though I wasn't expecting much from a fighting movie. I will say, the cinematography was well done, and the pacing as well, though the story lacked. This honestly felt like Street Fighter or Tekken with fight after fight. I suppose I was expecting more substance, because I didn't care much at all for any of the characters. Overall, it was very bland and lacking that special something. It was decent at best, but Keanu should stick to acting, I don't think directing is really his calling. Just my two cents, it seems to be getting a mixed bag of reviews. Either ya love it or ya hate it.

Uh, no, it is not a racist movie by any means. It's only racist to you because you look for stupid *beep* like that in movies.

Great summary and points! This best describes my thoughts on the film as well. Was surprised these points weren't raised by the majority of reviewers.

You also realize that kung fu style light body isn't real, right? People don't actually float. Its not supposed to be "real". Also, you cant knock someone over with force powers
"for real".

Wow, your life must be dull.
