This movie is a massive cringe-fest

Almost every time Keanu Reeves opened his mouth I cringed. His fight against Tiger didn't help neither. Tiger would swipe his slow ass on the floor. They were expecting me to believe that Keanu was physical challenge for Tiger? All those opponents Tiger was fighting would kick Keanu's ass alone.

And the way how Tiger finishes the fight, with some dumb voodoo crap turned me off. Keanu Reeves couldn't even act in his own movie. His performance was emotionless and boring, with some dumb repetitive one liners.

Other than that, I enjoyed the fight scenes, except last one. I cringed and laughed at that.

I found it to be very cringy too.
And I consider myself to have a high tolerance with stiff and bad dialogue etc when it comes to kung fu movies; thats often what you get.

But this movie is just horrible! People who like it cannot have seen some of the really great modern kung fu ones. Ex with Donnie Yen..

I couldnt decide which was worst; Keanu, the dialogues, the weird editing, the cliches (the cops etc).. it does have some nice fighting but not even that could make me finish watching this movie (had to jump through the last quarter of it.)

So far this whole experiment where western directors and actors are discovering that China are making some amazing Kung Fu movies and are trying to copy it or make a western/chinese blend.. it's not working!

People should stick to the comedy jackie chan ones for that. (im not a fan of those btw.)

And keep their unworthy hands off my beautiful kung fu movie experiences.

I think you just lack comprehension about what was going on.. you say Keanu's acting was emotionless.. that's because the character he was playing was mostly emotionless, almost sociopathic, even his chief assistant was like this too and not saying a word throughout the movie. In regards to the last fight.. it was a stylised fight between Tiger who was fluid and evasive, versus Keanu who was stiff and direct.. if you chose to ignore anything philosophical going on right in front of you and choose to base it on some kind of expectations you have for what a fight scene should be then I'm sorry but that's an irrational expectation.

Great movie that deserves more than a 6, in my opinion.

What's "cringy" to me are you idiots that seem to think "cringe" and "cringy" are cool words to use. I guarantee none of you morons actually cringe and you're the same dumb asses who say "X number of hours I won't get back".
