Dont get me wrong i love this movie but thay rating being on few classic movies status is kinda questionable to me like Jurassic Park, Die hard and Jaws or is it just me

A little too high, like Gamora can jump. There are a number of (very!) stupid things that happen in the film and some can be explained, within the movie universe, while other are unnecessary, retarded...
Noticed it on this repeat viewing, in the prison scene, she jumps way across the prison. So, if she has that kind of force in her legs - what would happen if she kicked someone?.. Nobody seems to care, not the characters, the director, nor the audience.
Edit: Omg, sorry, it's much worse... Went looking for it, because I thought I made a mistake - and I did. When she snatches the orb from Quill, she kicks him - lucky for him there's such thing as love at first sight and the ruthless galactic killer didn't wanna hurt him so bad. :f
^ Right, she finally kicks the sister-robot off the ship in order to "open the doors" - but, moments later she materializes a gun out of thin air... So, what was the fight - for. More stupid stuff, from the beginning of the film - to the end, gah.
shareThere are a lot of overrated movies here on IMDB. If a crappy rehash like "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" also has an 8.1 rating, then there's no reason why GotG should have anything lower.

I like the film a lot but definitely agree. The problem with ratings on IMDb are that often people rate between 5-10 (treating 5 as poor and around 7 as average, and 10 as amazing) when in fact 5 should be average. Unless a movie is truly hated, then it gets a 1 or 2.
Statistically most films on IMDb should be between a couple standard deviations above/below the average rating (5), so in the range of about 3-7.

shareNo, if give this movie a very high rating, it's completely fun all the way through, and touching in places as well. It the best Marvel CBM, and IMHO that is saying a lot.
All the Marvel films are fun, but some are really good!
