Isn't it weird how Zoe Saldana looks good as aliens, but not as herself?

I mean, as her regular self she just doesn't really do it for me.. but when she played Neytiri and Gamora, her attractiveness level went up

Are you kidding? She's drop dead gorgeous

I think it's a matter of personal preference. I don't think she's all that. I lean more toward actresses like Michelle Monaghan or Marion Cotillard.

Not that I think she's hideous or anything. She's very pretty. I just don't see her as "drop dead gorgeous".

Zoe is okay

so you're more attracted to someone with a tail? And this seems normal to you?

Her parents heritage is Puerto Rican and Dominican. If anything she's mixed more than just "black". I don't care what someone's heritage is; if they're pretty they're pretty and she's gorgeous if you ask me.

reply

I don't know how much you know about those countries, but most of the people in those countries are black. So one would be better off saying if anything she's more Black than just mixed.

That may be the case for the Dominican Republic, but not Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is mostly white and mixed. Look at Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Supreme Court Justice Soyomayor, Lin Manuel Miranda, etc. None of them are "black". I'm Puertorican and I'm pale and redheaded.

That's such an obvious answer. I think it has more to do with you than it does with her. It sounds like it's easier for you to relate to fictitious beings (I can't even call them women) than it is for you to relate to real women in the real world.

Yes, I know you're talking about one woman but I still think it's very telling. You're comparing a real life person to one-dimensional characters who only exist in make-believe fantasy worlds.

Don't feel bad though, you're not alone. A lot of 'grown' men (by age only) seem to feel more comfortable living in the world of fantasy: video games, superheroes, sports, etc. It's not at all surprising. In that world they fancy themselves the hero. They feel important, are all-powerful, and always end up with the girl. By contrast, they spend a great deal of their real lives sitting on the couch with a joystick and a remote in their hands.

To be fair, this description doesn't apply to all men (thank goodness) but it does fit some women.

Lol Wow! ..I only feel this way about zoe... I don't find her very attractive.. she is okay looking.. but I feel she looks better when her skin isn't black (not to be racist).

Your post really made me laugh though....are you sure you arent projection yourself on to me? because that was very detailed lol...

reply

No you're just very transparent. Even by just reading your thread title, i knew it was her skin colour that makes you think she's more attractive as a green alien, than a black woman.

reply

The "not to be racist" didn't help.

reply

Sorry, but it is true.

Woman: "I look fat. Can you give me a compliment?"
Man: "You have perfect eyesight."

reply

You'd prefer all black women to be green or blue?

reply

blue would look nice

reply

Aaaaaand *beep* you.

reply

You ever notice, when someone says "Not to be racist..." it's always surrounded by the most racist statements imaginable?

And your reply says plenty about you. Everything about her in the movie was human except for the color of her skin, which just added an exotic flair. Top it off with the fact she was a total ass kicker who begins to show a softer side, and any straight guy would find her attractive. Nice shape, beautiful eyes and hair, what's not to like? You sound like the typical, "almost every man is a little boy which is why I can't get one" bitter types who's body was likely used up by 19, providing you ever had one. And before you start in on me, I'm married going on 12 years, college graduate, career, healthy marriage, and I found her super hot in the movie (I even said so to my wife). Don't bother starting a thread war with me, as I won't engage
you.

reply

Zoe Saldana is ridiculously hot in the American version of "Death At a Funeral". She also has her moments in the new Star Trek films.

She looked very pretty but what I liked most about her character is that she went from being a villain to a hero.

I thought she was prettier in the first Star Trek film.

1. No I'm a girl.
2. No.
But there are very beautiful black girls plus Zaldana clearly has Native American features like her beautiful hair.
