Actually, those numbers aren't apples to apples since SS never opened in China. The total for GOTG includes $95million+ from its China run. Remove that and SS made more money globally. GOTG's 773-95= Global take of 678$. Compared to SS's 744$ global. So even if SS opened in China and made as little as $30m it would've still won.

Another interesting note, SS beat Deadpool in foreign markets: SS's $420.400,00 to DP's $419,541,446. Neither SS or Deadpool opened in China. Deadpool did beat SS domestically.

it made less money, the reason may have been because it didnt open in china but so what, it didnt so you cant track money that didnt exist.

My opinion is 2 chinese people would have bought tickets for SS so they would have tanked millions in advertising, cant prove it worng because it never opened there.

I was comparing what they had in common. In which case SS outgrossed GOTG in all accumulated markets minus China. Apples to Apples. These are things we have numbers for.

What movie tanked so bad that only two people showed up after millions were invested in advertising?

it never opened in china so if you choose to come up with fictional money that it earned there then im coming up with an equally ridiculous scenerio where it sold two tickets.

I love Man of Steel and like BvS UE, but Suicide Squad is awful. Guardians is my favourite of the MCU films.

Same here. I loved man of steel and even thoroughly enjoyed BvS despite plot holes (which were fixed in the ultimate edition), but suicide squad felt cobbled together and poorly written. The story was alright but it wasn't anything like the suicide squad from the comics. And the dialogue was really childish. Every time I rewatch it I find even more weak points in the script. Hopefully wonder woman will be able to push the series in the right direction, and justice league will revitalize the franchise. Remember at this point in the chronology, the MCU wasnt doing so great either.
Man of steel equals Iron Man 1
BvS equals Iron Man 2
Suicide Squad equals Incredible Hulk
Hopefully WW and JL will be the Thor and captain america of the DC universe and then the solo Ben affleck Batman film could possibly be as successful as the first avengers was. There's no reason why the next Batman movie can't be the best Batman film we've ever had

The OP is just a sad little troll. If he would actually look at the BO, he could see that GotG has made more than Suicide Squad. It's pretty close but it's there.
