Hey yo, happy people. :D So uh, James Gunn just came out and revealed that Groot did in fact bit the dust. He confirmed that baby Groot (soon will be known as teenage Groot) is actually the son of the Groot we saw in the first movie. :(

His statement does contradict what others have said about this matter before. So it’s all left up to the viewer to decide.
