Good tribute to innovative musician

What a sad figure.....but what a talented and innovative guitarist and songwriter - wrote Shivers at 16!! I like Nick Cave but he owes a great debt to Howard (and Anita Lane for that matter). I would have liked to hear more about his approach to songwriting and the guitar but this was still a good tribute to an underground figure in Australian music. A life cut short but burned twice as bright. Henry Rollins makes me laugh everytime I hear him.

Yes, it was awesome. I particularly liked the women's perspective, as we don't hear that often in the media. It's too bad we lost him so early, he was just beginning to fully mature as an artist, and his solo albums are fantastic. He should have been ten times as popular.

There are a number of extra features on the DVD and a few are about Rowland's guitar style. They talk about some of his equipment, and Rowland claims he is not a great guitar player in a technical sense. These deleted scenes / extras are very exciting as they were edited just like the feature. Check it out if you haven't already.
