My only problem with the show

I love this show and the cast, but I'm not a fan of breaking the 4th wall. I mean it would be fun every now and then and in small, subtle ways (like Adam referencing to Laura's part in Hills Have Eyes remake), but almost every episode is reminding us that it's a tv-show, the characters are talking about scripts and adlips, there's bloopers and crew members running around. It's really distracting. Other than that, I've got no complaints. Great show and can't wait for season 3!

It's part of the show if you know Adam Green well enough. The show is independently made so Green has full control over his series.

I'm not really sure what you meant by knowing Adam Green. But I "know" him and am a fan of his work. Hatchet is great fun trilogy and Frozen is one the best horrors in a long time.

Yes, I know he has control over Holliston. But I still am not sure if that fact was supposed to convince me breaking the 4th wall is a good thing. I still think it's distracting audience from the storylines.

I had exactly the opposite reaction. I thought the show sucked to begin with, and had it not been for the wacky moments (breaking character when someone went off script, cutaways to crew members, the idiotic Butterfinger endorsement, the pantsless cameraman, etc.), I wouldn't have stuck with it. It wasn't until the end of the first season that they slipped into a groove and I really began liking the show.
