I really enjoyed watching this movie and I was especially moved by the Mexican couple that ran their restaurant. Does anyone from Tucson know their whereabouts and how they are doing these days? Thanks

Here's the problem: the food looked good on screen but it sucked in real life. Their reviews (other than the ones from out of state that only talked about the film and how good the food LOOKED so they gave it 5 stars without even tasting it smh) were mostly BAD. Bad guacamole, bad salsa, bad fish, bad chiles rellenos, just bad.
I found a couple good reviews from when the place first opened, but I think $$$ got too tight and they started cheaping out. Fish sticks in the fish tacos, etc. I live in Tucson had never even heard of the place til I saw this film listed on Netflix. No advertising and bad reviews...doomed to fail.
Pisses me off that there's a website to donate money to these people. They made poor choices and FAILED. Why do they deserve free money???? ugh... I work my ass off, don't live beyond my means, don't have kids I can't afford, don't buy homes I can't afford, and live paycheck to paycheck...where's my reward??
To me, the food didn't even look good on tv. They needed to advertise and use some business sense to get customers. And their house? They bought a house they couldn't afford, and spent too much on all those nic nacs (sp?). They have more crap than I have...I choose to live below my means. I liked their spirit, but they did make one bad decision after another.
Probably. And I'm 34 by the way. But I wouldn't have to work 15 hours a day because I would identify responsible and trustworthy individuals and delegate responsibilities to them accordingly. Because I'm not a 90 IQ Mexican peasant who was bred for manual labor.
