Hate James Cameron

James Cameron to Keanu Reeves: "I take it you've been on a film set?" The way he asks the question is dead serious. Cameron is sooooo full of himself. Can't stand the guy. (I know he's laughing all the way to the bank!)

reply

He knows who Keanu Reeves is. Not only is Keanu a highly respected actor in Hollywood Cameron was the executive producer on Point Break(1991)!! You are simply trying to justify an unwarranted hate towards someone who is both well respected in filmmaking and a successful director.

reply

Cameron was trying to tell Reeves that the sets before were never real. Is he *beep* serious? So movies like First Blood and Predator weren't filmed in real forests and jungles? I never knew it was all CGI just like Avatar.

reply

You're a moron. He's saying it's always fake. No matter where you are.

reply

I don't think he was the slightest bit serious, when asking that question. I think he has a sense of humour which can rub some people the wrong way. But in no way did he mean it as a putdown to Keanu Reeves.

PointingMonkey is correct and the OP (and the clown talking about Predator) is an idiot and not very perceptive.
No films are real. It's all just acting (pretending) and if an actor can't pretend the green screen (for the CGI) isn't something else then they're not a good actor.
I'd rather be in a studio than in a sweltering jungle, with no amenities, miles from a hospital, covered in spiders and with a snake hanging off my winkle.
"Less isn't more. More is more!" LOL.

I agree, that entire exchange rubbed me the wrong way. While it's true that every single aspect of movies is illusion, making something artificial seem real - whether it's acting, CGI, or hell, even light flickering through a lens so that images appear to move! - James Cameron seems to look at from a self-important perspective, like he just wants an audience (and Keanu) impressed by him.
