Red Weapon 8K = Death of film

There isn't much room for debate any more.

George Lucas says in this something along the lines of film being as good as it's going to be while digital is consistently getting better.

It's always going to be a tough one, because while digital may be surpassing film, there will always be those who embrace the limitations of film as do people enjoy vinyl even when it it is in many ways inferior to digital. Personally, I think both formats have their place and hope film never becomes completely abandoned, but rather remains as an alternative alongside it's digital counterpart.

There is no reason to believe that it won't "remain as an alternative alongside its digital counterpart."
