"Alien Invasion using Dead Human Bodies"

I guess its true... If you wait long enough, you may just see movies based on ideas you have had! -- In MY version, the Aliens had hovering, frisbee-like "RobotBrains" that drilled away the top of dead people's skulls, in order to replace the brain in controlling their bodies. The Aliens found the drawbacks of using dead humans were "rigor mortis" and the rotting stench, which warned everyone which direction they were coming, or where they were (depending on wind direction). I foresaw it would be cheap in the props dept., just zombies, with metal "hats".

It will still be interesting to see these guys do with the concept.

A: You do know this is a remake (of sorts), right? The "Alien Invasion using Dead Human Bodies" plot is from 1959.

B: FYI, rigor mortis is a temporary condition. Cadavers would have full range of motion two to three days after death, making them perfectly suitable for reanimation for the alien invasion. The stench is gonna linger, though, so we got that going for us.

I guessed it might be a re-make of the original "Plan 9 From Outer Space" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052077/ ... which I have always avoided because people said it was a "video nasty" or "badly made"... So I never even bothered to find out what it was about... but I see now, by the plot outline that it DOES involve:

"Aliens resurrect dead humans as zombies and vampires to stop humanity from creating the Solaranite (a sort of sun-driven bomb)."

Since I am somewhat into Vampire movies, maybe I should have checked it out... but its also a bit different from my concept, of a Robot Cap drilling the tops off skulls, replacing the brain of dead bodies to use them. Interesting to know that "rigor mortis" is temporary (I was not aware of that), but it was mainly used for comedy effect, since it hampered the use of the dead by the aliens, in my plot.
Who knows, someone might see this idea, now, and make it happen? I don't have the funds.
