I'm sure his estate of the great author is really glad he was credited for the source material for this movie. They are suddenly looking back fondly at the Guy Pierce movie.

Hell, no! He's kickin' through the lid - and he's coming to git Siffy. They've already cast him as a psychopathic woman in Warehouse 13 and now they're again trashing his legacy with this Primeval (Primeval being a tacky ITV show from the UK) knock-off.

The Guy Pierce version wasn't all bad. It had my favorite depiction of the time machine, and the Morlock's were kinda cool.

I don't mind reinventing something if it needs it (Battlestar Galactica) but the Pierce version loses the best parts of the premise and story for the sake of action and a sexy villain.
