That was one of the dumber moves in the film. No way would someone who looked like her would have a kid with an ugly oafish nutbag like Forest's character. I cant even imagine circumstances that would warrant such a ridiculous couple.
And no way the kid wouldve looked like that. That baby would look like Mo'nique.

Really? It happens in real life. Look at Marilyn Monroe...she always married or was attracted to plain or ugly men. Einstein, DiMaggio. etc. Paul Newman was drop dead gorgeous but he married a plain Joanne Woodward. Look at Beyonce and Jay Z, Lots of the people I worked with were couples like that. Opposites attract I guess. Thank goodness that although my hubby and I are plain folks we managed to make four gorgeous children! It all works out.

Because it is not about the looks. Also people have different taste. Have you seen his real wife? She is very attractive and they have been married for years. People always talked about that super model Paulina Porizkova and Ric Ocasek from the Cars. nobody understood why such a beautiful model would be with him. She said in her culture he is a good looking. So it can be any reason people are attractive to people. But if it is just about looks it will not last. Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett? I'm certainly not a fan of Julia Roberts, I never understood all the hype, but that's just my opinion.
Some may agree that Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton is another example, I disagree.
On a different note, I hear Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in process of adopting a child from Syria...
Also, I read somewhere that Jolie's choice to get a double mastectomy was a cover for her to get a boon job! What!?!
I do disagree with the Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward comparison.
