Voice overs?

What is the reason for the many voice overs in this show? They are incredibly obvious, and take away from moments that are supposed to be dramatically tense.

Do you mean when Amy meets the "clients", and she'll say: "What Joe and Phyllis don't know is the demon wants them both dead, and wants to possess their child. But I don't think they're ready for that information."

I agree. She seems to straddle a very thin line of "diplomacy" & bluntness. My psychic sense is that she TRIES to be diplomatic & more mild in tone than the situation suggests because she's either afraid the clients will become defensive, or physical, or ask her to get lost. There was an old psychic named Gloria James, who was supposed to be the real deal, and would tell you when you would die if you asked. I read an interview once, and she said she's been punched in the mouth more than once by clients, so maybe Amy's had similar reactions.

Last night, during her "walk" she made some great faces/sounds, THEN THEY WENT TO COMMERCIAL! When they came back they were on to another tangent. It pizzed me off.
