Just watched it for the first time...

Not bad. I liked the cop.

What disappointed me was that in the end they left it up to the family to find REAL help as in the mediums, etc. She could not have hooked them up with the right people?? It's like a doctor telling you what is wrong and then saying, "Now go find a specialist" instead of recommending someone.

Seemed like they were help but no help.

You might as well stop watching now, because that's the way all the episodes end (with the exception of one).

But I agree, you would figure she would have a Rolodex full of shamans, priests, voodoo headshinkers...you know the norm. But nope, the best she can do is "I wouldn't go in that room until you get sh!t handled. Take care."

I don't agree at all, though I'd love it if they got rid of the cop, and Amy either "cleared the space", or they showed someone doing what she suggested. I don't give a sheet about going to the library and finding their house was built on an indian burial ground. I always think, so if you couldn't find a reason, there's no haunting?! The earthly reason is superfluous.

Think of it as a doctor diagnosing the problem. Then he gives you a prescription, and you get it filled. As far as I know there's no "Black Pages" to get the number for shaman, mediums, chaos magicians, voodooers, etc. If these people are serious -- and some of them are just SO full of 'hit -- they'll "get 'er done". It must be tough to get a priest to do an exorcism, though. That socks. That's the kind of thing they're supposed to be doing, but all that useless hierarchy; like Big Govt...

I'm sure that Amy helps by providing referrals in a lot of cases if the homeowners ask. They probably don't include this in the show because 1. It would be boring and redundant. 2. She would be accused of profiteering by using the show to promote the services of others.
