soundtrack of Monsieur Lazhar

Which is the title of the piano solo which is heard in the film?
lately IMDB has been omitting soundtrack details in many films,
a pity

reply

I have not yet seen the film but there are two classical pieces used in the trailer, and they are mentioned in reviews/article about the film. The first is the opening theme, opening movement (a theme and variations) of Mozart's Piano Sonata in A Major, K. 331. The second is Scarlatti's Sonata in F Minor, K. 466.

The soundtrack was written By Martin Léon, and the piece you are referring to is called La chrysalide (The Chrysalis) if I'm correct

Love this music, its so haunting. Goes perfectly with the movie. A very worthy film from Canada!

Well said! I liked that scene as well but love your analogy of Bachir being trapped like a caterpillar and wanting to come out of his cocoon... Cool!

Love, laugh, believe...
