Marie-Frédérique

Marie-Frédérique can sometimes behave with the others in a way that's... assertive. She's always right.

During this scene, when Lazhar is talking to that girl's parents.........did anyone else think they were a bit....smug? I mean the teacher was right if you think of it....but they just turned it all on him?

Well, that seemed to be the point of the scene. Parents are like: teach our children, but don't educate them. But the problem is that the parents ignore (ostrich-style) the problem of the child and don't educate them neither.

However, being assertive can be a good thing in our society. It shows confidence. Politicians are usually too assertive; anything else and people wouldn't like them.

I, on the contrary, believe there is a time to be assertive and a time not to be.

Absolutely! They were slighting him and his background insinuating that he didn't understand their child and likely never would and accusing him of trying to "raise" her, rather than educate her.🐭
