Seriously - 'crack'?

Gay men do - and get addicted to - many drugs, but "crack" certainly isn't one of them.

Meth is more like it. Coke and X as well.

But "crack"? Seriously...

"Don't call me 'honey', mac."
"Don't call me 'mac'... HONEY!"

actually, crack IS one of them. Sure, more gay men do tina, but there are certainly some who smoke crack. It was a very realistic portrayal, actually.

Are you serious? When I lived in NYC (for 25 years), I've known several (white) gay men who did crack. Was it as "popular" as Meth? No. However, was it done.. yes.

One was a very successful doctor who lost everything.

Saying "gay white men don't do crack" is like some middle eastern president saying "there are no gays in my country". Ridiculous.

This is a ridiculous thing to say. First, the man on whom Paul is closely based, New York literary agent Bill Clegg, was indeed addicted to crack. Clegg is the ex-boyfriend of Ira Sachs, who wrote and directed this movie.

Second, even if this movie weren't so closely based on that true story, obviously any person from any background and of any sexuality can become addicted to any drug. There's no rule that says that says that some types of people are limited to only certain types of addictions.

this is autobiographical you idiot ! Paul aka Bill Clegg was gay and heavely addicted to crack. He spent $1000 a day on the stuff (he had almost 100 000 usd on his account and wasted it all on hotel and crack)! not a looser $50 a week. so yes when you take that much you go total crazy. read his autobiographical book "portrait of an addict as a young man".
