Epic second season

I found the first season uneven and even boring at times (though there were good episodes, the most the one with young Rodrigo Borgia which is pure gold) but this second season is a masterpiece. Dialogue, writing, direction and even music get better and each episode just keeps getting better than the previous one. And oh, God, there is so much to tell. It's 17 years in 13 episodes after all (1475 to 1492), and what years! The War of Portugal, Granada, the Inquisition, Columbus... the story was already written. Why the hell did no one make this series earlier? And to think it was all but cancelled before the premiere!

I so hope the rumors are true and they do make a fourth season, even without Isabel.

I found series 2 go very fast in four o five episodes and a poorly acting with some actors, the music i really like a lot... season 3 will be the last session about Isabel, but were rumors that could continue a four season with her daughter Joan "the mad" called "Juana" if they get a good audience like season 1.

BTW if you like the second season i´m sure you will like "Requiem por Granada" its about Boabdil and kingdom of Granada and he confrontation with the Catholic Kings.

I hope you understand my comment, my English is very bad! :)

Already had Requiem on queue thank you.

The one I'd like to see too but can't find anywhere is TVE's old miniseries about Pedro the Cruel... starring Ramon Madaula (Isabel's Chacon - lel). Only found Pedro's death on YT, doesn't look accurate.

See TVE, if you want to do other Medieval show after the Juana spin-off you can always remake that one! It's Game of Thrones, if it was a war between Ramsay and Joffrey!

And don't worry for the English, I'm Spanish myself.

The Juana and Alfonso of Portugal story line was what struck me the most this season. Poor Juana. She got b!tchy quick, though.. Zoraida/Isabel Solis and the Emir was the best love story in this series. I like them even more than Isabel and Ferdinand's love story, because Fernando is a serial cheater! I was actually very surprised -and relieved- he didn't go after the cute female tutor Isabel's confessor brought to court.

Well, she was crazy jealous...so, yeah. ..And, Felipe was a bastard, also.

The Rover: The violence seems futile, but it is not pointless.

This post is about the second season. I was talking about Juana la Beltraneja. They pulled a Margaret Beaufort on her, her mother made her marry at 13, but this is way more f---d up, because Alfonso V, being her mother's brother, was her own freaking uncle. You should really watch the 2nd and 1st seasons! :)

You're referring to Joanna, Isabella's daughter, from the third, final season.

I couldn't stand the Zoraida x Emir love story. He talks to her 1 night and they're in love? Also she's he 2nd or whatever numbered wife she is. He kidnaps her and who knows how many women he kidnaps and rapes. I just tolerated it and couldn't wait for his first wife to destroy them all and of course she did.

The best season for sure!

I am currently watching The Spanish Princess, waiting for season 2 via library. I want to see this one as well. The Inquisition and Columbus are all I know about Isabella.
