be found footage or don't be

that's all I'm saying

Or, you know, it could just be whatever the director wants it to be.

It's not found footage. It's just one of those somewhat confusing blends of archival footage and shaky filming.

Basically, unless the footage had a "security cam" look, or there was a timecode on screen, etc., what you were watching is just a regular movie. There wasn't someone following the main characters around, holding a camera, or anything like that.

indeed... the most messed up part of the film was the shooting, so awful... and I don't mind to admit that I love the whole "found footage " thing ... but be confident man,if you gonna do it, DO IT... "to be or not to be, that is the question"

I actually liked how they made a found footage film without worrying about 'who's filming'. They used multiple cameras (handheld but not too shaky), never worried about who the 'cameraman' was, and it still came off like 'found footage'.

I think other films could learn from this. It's different and effective.

I completely agree.

Preferably don't be. Cheap manipulative cop out *beep* filming style that got old 10 years ago

You beat me to it. The "found footage" gimmick has been done to death. Time to lay it to rest.
