Wow...pointless...

Spoilers ahead.....

This short was pointless...nothing more to say really. This is supposed to bridge the gap between Iron Man 2 and Thor take?

There is a 3 minute conversation. "We have to take Blonsky." "We don't want him." "Send Stark in."

Insert post credit scene from Hulk that we have already seen.

Next day - "Well, we don't have to take Blonsky!"

Very disappointing. We get no new information at all. Hard to see why they felt the need to write, produce and distribute this.

So much for expansion and telling news stories as promised, this was just a brief conversation with clips from films we've seen before. The next one, which'll take place during Thor, doesn't look too hot either.

Yippee-ki-yay, pastel-colored resistance!

I'm glad that I was going to buy the Thor Blu-Ray anyway and didn't have to buy a "Thor 1.5" re-release in order to see this. It was free and a true 'bonus,' so there is only so much 'mad' someone can get over this.

But really, I can't imagine this was 'free' for Marvel to produce. It's not like this was a part of a script that was filmed for Iron Man 2 or Thor and simply deleted.

Maybe Clark Gregg's part in Avengers as Agent Coulson is so small that they had to throw these at him to justify his salary and secure his participation in Iron Man 3 and Thor 2...who knows.

I thought they said they were going to hint at or introduce future Marvel characters. I honestly thought we were going to get something that mentioned or showed Wasp, or Pym or Black Panther...I imagine that they've not cast these parts yet, but there has been so many rumors saying Nathan Fillion for Giant Man. It makes sense with the Joss Whedon / Serenity connection.

Hey, what ever happend to Eva Longoria rumors playing Wasp? A few years back they had photos of her leaving Marvel with a stack of comics in her hands...

This is not an especially exciting short but it clears up a few things;

It explains the whereabouts of The Abomination after the events of 'The Incredible Hulk', and explains why he will not feature in 'The Avengers' (but sets up the possibility of appearing again in an MCU film).

It explains the real reason for Tony Stark meeting General Ross in the bar - he was not recruiting Ross but was actually being using by S.H.I.E.L.D. This also explains the scene in Iron Man 2 when Nick Fury says he wants Tony Stark as a 'Consultant' to the Avengers...

As this is included on the Thor BluRay it reinforces the links between the MCU films. Agent Coulson is also seen in Iron Man 1 & 2, and Thor. It features Tony Stark from Iron Man 1 & 2. It reminds people that The Incredible Hulk is very much part of the MCU.
