GIVE ALL HER MONEY TO CHARITY

all that money she makes? She should stop spending it on herself. Give it to a charity. Give it to the children’s hospital, or any hospital. Donate it to the school system, pay for a poor person's college education, donate it to an orphanage or to a homeless shelter. Get what I’m saying?

there's nothing wrong with giving people hope when it comes to their loved ones, but she's horrible on how she'll go up to someone, ask a few questions, then leaves them hanging and still sad right in the middle of talking to them and then move on to someone else. She should give the entire audience hope! Not just random people!

It's cruel how she leaves one person hanging after she talks to them and then moves on right in the middle of the talking to, because that person goes to her really sad and wants help, she talks to them a little bit, and then moves on before she can finish talking to them, which makes them even more sad. They want comfort and hope. they want to leave the studio with a smile on their face, and not be more sad than when they came in.

If she really wants to make a difference, find another way than just saying "I can talk to your loved ones who passed away". Give a speech on how everyone's loved ones still love them, and focus on the memories you had with them, but to remember life still keeps going and you can always make new friends and loved ones, and make new memories!

and then make a difference by giving all the money she makes to a good charity. Give the less fortunate hope. Go up to a hospital and say "i'm going to pay everyone's medical bills!" and so on.

this woman is a heartless gold digger who only cares about herself.
she should go listen to that "another day in paradise" by phil collins or the song "lifestyles of the rich and famous" by Good Charlotte.

You have no right telling Theresa that she should give all her money to charity. Her husband doesn't work, so she has to make money to support her family. Theresa does do things like volunteer at soup kitchens. I might not approve of her spending hundreds of dollars on a pair of high heels but at least she isn't spending her money on anything TERRIBLE or on a bunch of cars. When somebody chooses to support someone financially (buying tickets/books/albums et cetera), they forfeit a right to be mad at what that money goes towards. Just leave her alone.

i agree she has to support her family, and i'm 100% for that, that but doing THIS?

If she really wants to help her family, THEN GET A REAL JOB. Don’t just go for the “make tons of money the easy way” crap.

Apparently she went for the “easy money” thing at first, because she really did want to support her family. It got way bigger than she expected and now she’s thinking “Why not go for it even more? This is easy money!”

Since she makes a ton of money doing this, she should keep some for her family just to get by on normal days and put some in savings accounts for emergencies. She should give the rest to charities.

Ok she does volunteer work for the less fortunate. How come she doesn’t give some of her money to the less fortunate too? She could give some of them some of her money, AND she could spice up the soup kitchen too. She should use some of her money to give the people at the soup kitchen more than just soup. Make them cakes, or sandwiches, or pizza, and so on. Decorate a soup kitchen, put a big screen tv in there, or a pool table, I mean those places need stuff like that more than anything.

If she has a big heart like she claims she does, she can think of a lot more to do than just picking out random people and giving them easy answers. She should also give the entire audience hope too, it breaks my heart when she talks to one person, then leaves them right in the middle to talk to another person. For example one time on tv she talked to an old man for about 30 seconds, then left him right in the middle of him talking. This guy was older than my grandfather and he wanted some comfort in his life because he really loved his wife. She talked to him about 30 seconds, then left him, like he was just a worthless old man because he didn‘t give her the answer she wanted. Didn’t try to help him in any way. What kind of bull *beep* is that?

Everyone makes mistakes in life, but we learn from them and try hard to not do those things again!
and if a person knows ahead of time "this is wrong", they should use common sense.

so what you're saying is she’s not perfect because she doesn’t know how to spend her money? Give me a *beep* break, any decent person would know how she should spend her money. She should’ve learned how to spend her money when she was in her teenage years or her 20’s because that‘s when people learn how money works, what to do and what to not do with it, and so on. apparently she wasn't listening to whoever was teaching her in those days, and apparently she's not going to listen now.

if she wants to help people, she needs to go to an "how to help people" class. there's a lot more to it than she knows.

And how would you know how she lived her life in her twenties? There is no concrete proof that Theresa can communicate with the dead or that she is a fraud. I hope she is not a fraud because she has a wonderful personality and I like her family (though not so much Victoria). But if somebody chooses to pay for a reading or buys her book, once that money leaves their hands it is no longer theirs and they cannot get all uppity about what Theresa spends it on. It's like you want Theresa to live on a bare minimum. Should she move her family into an apartment and never splurge on a vacation or a special meal? Should she not pay for her kids to go to University? Should she not own a pet because that's just an extra expense? I bet if she donated to many charities you would complain that it's not good enough because there are some causes that she has not supported.

You are so *beep* stupid it is unbelievable. Of course she should get her family a decent house, some pets, send her kids to college, and so on. I mean that’s what any NORMAL family would do! Pretty much that stuff IS the bare minimum! You need to look up “bare minimum” online. I did not say she should live like a poor person that lives from paycheck to paycheck. You need to expand your mind a little bit.

What she does is called COLD READING. And it is a load of BULL *beep* It is called a “Magic trick”, she scams people out of her money and could care less if the people in the audiences she hurts or not.
She has some of the audience that are also in on her magic trick, and also she has total strangers walk out into the studio and talk to random people, and these “strangers” are actually spies that work for her. They dig out the dirt on certain people, and then “claim” they have to go elsewhere like to the bathroom or go outside to meet someone or so on, but in reality they go backstage to her, tell her exactly what certain people said, and then she looks for that person and says what her spies told her.
other celebrities have done it too such as John Edwards.

10 bucks says you didn’t even watch that video clip I sent you. You probably were “oh this is just another thing that says its fake, it only lasts 5 minutes, etc”. That stuff is PROOF that what she does is BULL *beep*
And that clap lasts 30 minutes, in which Penn and Teller explain exactly how that stuff works. And other celebrities who do the same thing.

I’m pissed off because she DOES NOT give some of her money to charities. Volunteering at a soup kitchen is one thing, but just cooking for them, and using someone else’s money to feed them is another. Especially if you’ve got tons of money and more than you know what to do with.

You know what bitch, I’m sick of arguing with you. But don’t think that I want to stop this argument means that you won this debate. As far as I’m concerned, NEITHER OF US WON. I have a right to my own opinion just like you have the right to your own opinion. It’s called FREEDOM OF SPEECH, and according to the First Amendment it’s perfectly ok for you and I to express how we feel on certain subjects. You did not win this debate and I didn’t either. As a matter of fact I not watch that video for one because it is over twenty minutes long and for two because I am not going to do what you tell me to. It's not like I haven't heard of cold reading before. You have no proof that Theresa has spies, dumbass.

There are people in this world who are FAR richer than Theresa is. There are billionaires who could currently solve homelessness and hunger. I don't see you demanding these things of them. How dare you pin all responsibilities on Theresa?!

Either mediums have spies that give them information or they do cold readings. If they have spies, there is no need for them to do cold readings. And you clearly don't have much of a life. Who knows what she does with her money, she might very well give a lot of money away, how do we know exactly where every penny she earns ends up?

I barely earn enough money to live off of, even after earning my master's degree; employment is tough and staying afloat can be impossible sometimes. I called my bank, which earns (ie steals) billions of dollars from it's customers to reverse one $35 NSF fee which I never should have gotten in the first place, b/c I had money in the bank at the time of the charge. Was on the phone for over 90 minutes trying to get this bank to reverse the charge, spoke to the supervisor for most of it.

Well...the &(#$)@_@_@ said NO to my request b/c they had already reversed a charge earlier this year/12 month period. Now I know she's earning thousands upon thousands of dollars from MY FEES that I shouldn't get in the first place to pay her salary, her 401k, her medical benefits, everything. This #()#@@))%#!! of a woman would not, come hell or high water, reverse the $35 fee, even though I've been a customer for 22 years. TWENTY TWO YEARS with this same bank, same account number, she wouldn't give back one penny. I had to beg friends to borrow money for gas so that I could keep getting to work to keep my low-paying job to ensure even a small income would continue.

NOW...I ask of you...why shouldn't this so called human be giving her money away to charity??? I don't know if she does or she doesn't but she was so cold, calculating, greedy, unempathetic, nasty, mean, snarky, and not caring on the phone that there's no way she would ever give anything, even used clothing, to others who are less fortunate. She does not care about human beings whatsoever!!

This is only one employee of corporate America, I could go on forever about how greedy people are and how much money they earn for doing very little work and how disgusting it is for some to be paid as highly as they are for doing sometimes horrible things to humanity, while teachers and some others who help other humans are barely paid money...Why aren't they being abused and bullied and taunted on websites to give their money away to charity, also?

People say that Caputo should not profit off of dead people and their loved ones' grief. Maybe she should maybe she shouldn't, who knows. But I do know that people like that bank supervisor who make a lot of money living off of MY (I'm a living, breathing human being ie not dead) grief and struggles in the job world, is not just or right either. She's earning probably 100k + and I'm earning nothing of that amount, I probably work more hours and have more knowledge in my brain, yet I suffer financially, she gains financially off of living humans, but nobody berates them for earning money and not giving it all away to charity?? Why??

Fair question, not looking to argue, but just want to see others' perspectives on this.

I agree with you. There are so many professions that complaining people on this board think are 'honest' ways of making money that should be classified as scams.

Just one example, of many - retirement plan administrators and brokers. My fund company takes 5% out of every retirement plan contribution, then takes 1.25% out of each fund every year. Meanwhile Vanguard does the same thing for 1/5th the cost. the fund company does no better than Vanguard for performance. This adds up to tens of thousands of dollars simply stolen from me - skimmed if you will. It's done 'legally' because it's buried in the fine print that most people don't read or understand. But it happens anyway. These people are all much bigger crooks than Theresa will ever be, in my opinion.

You make your claim as if the bereaved don't actually get anything out of the exchange... as if they felt scammed at the end of the interaction. This seems to not be the case. It appears that most of those people would not be able to assign a value to the service that was rendered. It's all perspective here. YOU see it as valueless, whereas someone else sees it as invaluable. Either way... she's not running around lowering the quality of life for people she meets. SHE'S not running around calling you an ass, yet you feel the need to call someone you've never met a bitch?

Yes. I don't see the value in false hope, especially when you have to pay for it. Would it be acceptable to go to a village that's had no contact with the outside world, and fool them into worshipping you like a god because you whip out some fancy piece of technology? I mean, for them it's probably pretty awesome to be in the presence of a higher power, right? The fact that you've manipulated them to feed your own ego is fine, because they get something positive out of it. What this woman does is far worse than that, so to call her a bitch is putting it lightly.
