Great Casting and Never Boring
I loved the original, so I wasn't sure I would like this. But I liked it just as much. It was fast pacing and never boring. The cast was perfect for the roles. And Joseph Morgan was a stand out as Judah Ben Hur.

shareI didn't like the idea of this version so didn't intend watching it. I was visiting with friends and they switched it on so I got to see it. Very enjoyable entertainment
shareMay I ask WHERE did you see it are you here in the US?

It has been showing on Ovation Channel in the US recently (2013). I have DirectTV though so many cable providers don't carry Ovation. It may have shown here earlier, but I didn't notice until now.
shareWell I have Cablevision and so I don't receive Ovation Channel.
I went to their web page and I see its now on DVD so maybe I can get it from Netflick

For me Joseph Morgan was the problem. His acting reminded me so much of that of Hayden Christensen in Star Wars prequels. Otherwise very watchable version, especially the galley fighting scene, which I though was suprior to that in Wyler version
