In the last scene, Sir Matt and Bob mention a new boy who is supposed to good called David B something. If they are referring to David Beckham, that is such wrong information. Becks did not grow up in Manchester

I thought it would of been better to have Ryan Giggs as would have fit in the time period. As it wasn't until 1986 that Beckham was involved in the Bobby Charlton Soccer Schools or a few years later that he kept going to Manchester for training and signed school boy terms at a young age. See what they were trying to do with that.

I think the Beckham reference was meant as tongue in cheek, at the end of the film, just as a bit of fun.
