Don`t often watch recent anime but...

[Ageing anime geek who spends too much time on YouTube watching opening few eps of a show & deciding to purchase DVDs]
Mayo Chiki, along with Toradora, has been instrumental in making me keep an eye-out for recent shows (i.e. last 10-15yrs) rather than just steadfastly buying (what now must be considered) Golden Oldies (Ah!MyGoddess, G.I.T.S., Appleseed, Chobits, Urusei Yatsura, etc).
It`s light-hearted & funny, & at least some attempt at explaining the male lead`s near-superhuman ability to withstand the kickings he gets on an almost-daily basis was a nice touch - we all take it for granted lol!
