Good Companion to Lion of the Desert

Warriors of the Rainbow is compared to Braveheart and Last of the Mohicans, but those are the most apt comparisons.

In Braveheart the Scots aren't really technically inferior to the English. The tactics are a little different but the technology of the weapons is on par. This is even somewhat true in Last of the Mohicans.

Actually, this one is more in line with The Last Samurai and even more so Lion of the Desert, which interestingly takes place at roughly the same time, the late 1920s and early 1930s.

It is interesting that the Italians in Libya approached the problem the same way, use modern weapons to defeat an indigenous people and rush in time and time again.
