After the Ming loyalist Koxinga kicked the Dutch out of Taiwan he had to deal many insurgencies from the natives.

Would it be possible to have a Taiwanese feature film about that? I have heard that it is taboo to criticize Koxinga in modern Taiwan, that is, in the context of education or literature

You're absolutely right. Koxinga is treated as a national hero in both Taiwan and Mainland China (rare for anyone). He started the first massive wave of Han Chinese immigration to Taiwan, which formed the basis of modern Taiwanese society.
