Well...

Did anyone get extremely depressed after watching this? I feel like the whole movie was made so you can see how pointless and useless war is. Not to mention how many died for no reason at all. I mean its a hill, not like it was a huge strategic point and they needed it to win the war or something like that! Just pointless and a waste of life. But besides that I really enjoyed the story and the cast was just amazing! A really well done film for sure. Next on my list, 71 Into the Fire, probably going to depress me even more! Wish me luck!

Yes, very depressing for sure. I remember watching 71: Into the Fire and thinking how cheesy it was. This was a much better movie in every way.

I agree, 71 In to the fire was reaaaaaaally bad. This one I liked.

...there definitely was an anti-war vibe. It struck me as a melancholy hope for peace and unification of the Koreas. I would agree that the film was very good, particularly near the end. It was somewhat awkward that the kids were around, although they weren't there for the last half when things got really bad.

Without the war, the entire Korean peninsula would be under Communist dictatorship of the Supreme Leader, Kim Jong-un. Now, only half the nation is imprisoned and starving to death.
