Last episode 'Drama'

Just finished watching the last episode, and not that all 5 episodes weren't full of fake 'drama' but this one was just laughable.

The two biggest where the possible Grind and the pod of pilot whales.

The possible Grind was in a fjord that the whales could only enter (actually be driven in) from the north end. The land team member who saw the boats leave harbor and was afraid it was a Grind would have had to have seen the whales enter the fjord in front of the boats. Since he saw no whales enter there was no possibility of it being a Grind.

Then Aultman in the helicopter had to fly right over the beach on his course from the Irwin to the Bardot. He would have seen the people waiting at the beach if it had been a Grind. But no, it took them another 5 minutes to decide it was just a row boat race.

Then the pod of pilot whales on the last day of the campaign. I didn't see a single shot that showed the whales and the islands. I am convinced that this encounter was not when and/or where they claim it was. Part of this belief is that when the campaign was underway there were regular updates from the SSCS and with no positive actions by them, if they had 'saved' a pod something would have been said at the time.

The other problem with it is they are saying it is getting hard to sea the whales due to the approaching night. If night/dark is that close then even if the Islanders spot the whales they would not hold a Grind. The conditions (weather, location and TIME) have to be right. They would not drive the whales if it would be dark or close to dark when they reach the beach. First, driving the whales close to shore in the dark wouldn't be safe for the boats. Second, killing the whales in the dark wouldn't be safe for the participants.

Oh and just as an aside. All the attention the SSCS is paying to the pod with both boats racing to the area and the helo circling, they are drawing attention to the whales. If the Islanders had shown up it would have been the SSCS's fault by basically pointing out the whales to them. And maybe that is what they hoped.

Yeah, I was and still am skeptical of the whole thing.
Hell, when Watson got in the small boat to "go look around" all I could see was "yeah, they're gonna "find" something that they staged behind camera"
