What were they smoking?
What were they smoking in the restaurant scene? It was some sort of blue pipe?

shareIt was probably flavored tobacco. I'm only assuming because I've read that in hookah bars, they smoke flavored tobacco. (I'm not sure if they were in a hookah bar ...?)

more than likely a herbal mix of shisha, i don't know how the Tobacco laws work in that particular state, it could have been the tobacco variety.
I hate everyone and everything.
Hookah. It's a flavored tobacco they smoke....comes in tons of flavors, grape, apple, cherry etc. We actually have a hookah bong...we tried one at a restaurant once and it was pretty good. For whatever reason my husband felt the need to buy one. He said he had gone to the east end and had a surprise for me...I was hoping he picked up dinner. To my surprise we were the proud new owners of (not a small one) but a big $50 bong. It's in our closet, we haven't touched it in years (we're white Christians BTW).
shareThey're just called hookah, no need to attach the bong suffix hah.

greetings - thanks! I wasn't sure.

In Turkish, a hookah is called a gargle (pronounced nar-GEEL-lay).
Where did the word "hookah" come from anyway? I've always found it sort of strange!
BTW, I own a "hookah" from Syria.
