Why didn't they just keep the dog outside?

Stupid Americans is stupid.

Dogs aren't solitary creatures, they're pack animals. They're meant to be companions. They're not meant to be kept alone in the backyard. The people who do this to their dogs are either stupid or cruel. That you don't know this means you probably shouldn't be judging the intelligence of 320 million people.

Yes, I'm sure the dog would die of depression if his owner played with him less ... Like it would be difficult for the owner to take 10 steps out of his house and play with his dog on his porch or something. Stupid American. Lol

How much time do you think Jeff would be willing to spend outside with his dog? Guys like to plop down in front of the tv with their dogs by their sides. That's what's meant by, "companion animals." The dog would probably howl all night being alone. And in winder it would be miserable for a dog to be stuck out in the cold. But then, a person like you probably wouldn't care.

BTW, Americans are stupid? Where are you from, and did your country put a man on the moon?

In addition to what the other poster said, how do you suggest keeping the dog warm in MICHIGAN winters? Talk about stupid, you need to learn the US states & climates before suggesting a dog live outside... ridiculous suggestion anyway, as dogs aren't happy being separated from their pack. And yes, they definitely would become depressed, not to mention the physical health would suffer. Clearly you know nothing about dogs, so kindly stop attempting to give advice on their care.

I've only seen maybe 20 minutes of this show ever, and it happened to be the horrible "get rid of your dog" episode. What a wench! If my (hypothetical) fiance even suggested I dump my dog, he'd be the one finding himself dumped - asap. I turned off the episode halfway through, as my heart was literally aching at the thought of a 15yo dog being tossed away like garbage. Doesn't make me think any less of Muslims, since I'm not that kind of person... but it certainly discouraged me from watching this show ever again.

Just so you know, the next episode showed the wife feeling very bad about how upset/depressed her husband was after giving up the dog (and her realizing how many other sacrifices he had made for their marriage), and they ended up getting the dog back from the sanctuary.--On the IMDb, nobody knows you're a (I said nobody knows!).

Oh, I'm glad to hear that! I was really sad thinking about that poor dog, so thank you for telling me the outcome - as I haven't watched the show aside from that one episode.
