review: this game is epic winning for TWD fanboys

anyone who loves TWD comics as well as the show will know what im talking about!!! This game respects kirkman's work in its way of telling a story. Everyone around me was telling me this game was going to suck, and going by tell tale's last venture "Jurassic Park" i was a bit hesitant to play this, but since i am a huge TWD fan i decided to give it a try and man, was i blown away!!! I played the game twice since the game is tailor made to the choices you make, which means if you play a game with two different set of saves which have you make different choices, the 2nd episode which comes out next month will continue from whichever save game u select. The game has a perfect mix of survival, shooting and drama. The characters were amazing right from the protagonist to the annoying kid "Duck". The whole emotional scenes with the protagonist actually made me cringe and imagine the horror of a zombie apocalypse if it did take place in real life. This is a tv show you are playing and not a mindless shoot em up, so i get it when people say this game sucks since they are all expecting it to be like Dead island or resident evil which are also fantastic games in my opinion. But this game is very story driven and character driven. Zombies are there, but the main focus is on how characters interact with one another. any gamer even if he hasnt seen or heard of the walking dead but is looking for a story driven game with interesting characters should give this game a try. Somehow i cant wait for the next episode to release. I give this game 4.5/5 mainly for its story telling and replay value. i personally dont care for graphics that much if the story is awesome but for those who play games only for its graphics i give it 3/5. The graphics of this game has a comic book look to it which appealed to me personally. overall i give this game 4/5

Graphics aren't bad.. If it had realistic looking graphics they would well not fit..

The graphics are quite bad actually. I guess it depends on how you see it. I grew up with computers and was used to games pushing the limits of hardware. Now with Sony and Microsoft pushing their rusty old consoles, progress has pretty much halted and standards have sunk immensely. Hell, Crysis is already half a decade old and looks about a trillion times better. Sure, graphics aren't everything, but it's still annoying to see visuals that could have been done a full decade ago. That being said, the game is a lot of fun and is very immersive. I just wish the game would look good too.

The graphics were done that way intentionally. It's supposed to look like the comic. I've read the comics and I think it was a great idea to keep the same look.

Well, I have just skimmed through the comic at the library once, but I quickly picked up on the style of the game. It was unusual, but by no means bad. I could well see it done in a more traditional, video game style however.
