My very general response likened this to a presentation for a job. “These celebs” are doing their job and when they mess up publicly it shouldn’t be an opening for people to attack them, but a reminder they are human and are not, in fact, perfect.

This should have been my clue that I was dealing with a very insecure person who is either unaccustomed to having their opinion challenged or simply goes ballistic when it happens (I’m thinking you fall into the latter group). However, I stand by my opinion which you have a problem with. It’s a song. A presentation of words. And with all the things happening in the world today, it doesn’t even begin to compare. While I see that you think singing this song is some huge deal, I don’t. I agree that it should be handled with a certain amount of respect, but I don’t agree that someone should be drawn and quartered when they mess it up…unless you are Rosanne Barr.

And as for you expressing you opinion, I could care less. But my question is, why do you have such a problem with an opinion that doesn’t follow yours? Furthermore, why do people automatically assume that if you disagree with an negative opinion then the opposing opinion bearer thinks this is a “fan site” I’m not a Nadia fan. I just have a different view point.

3. Lastly you said: “How exactly did I "continue to harp on someone"? I posted a comment based on what was shown on last weeks episode and your fanbot ass got all snotty and defensive. My post was completely relevant to the episode that aired. A large part of the episode focused on her prior screw up and subsequent nerves about another performance. I posted my opinion of the issue addressed. Maybe you should leave Mommy and Daddy's basement and allow for the idea that people may have differing opinions than you. If you voiced your disagreement with a modicum of adult respect I would have responded in kind. But if you want to play little girl....... I would suggest you put on your big girl panties and buckle up.

Do you realize how angry you sound? And all over a person who refuses to convert to your opinion? I mean, resorting to name calling all in the name of trying to prove your point? Where do I start?
Let’s see….I didn’t say you continued to do anything. I used to infinitive form of the verb meant to convey the message “anyone who continues”. And it wasn’t just Nadia I was thinking of, but every singer who flubbed a line in the national anthem (except Roseanne Barr, of course). They made a mistake, acknowledge it, report it, and then move on is the basis of my opinion on how this should be handled. It shouldn't be something that is dwelled on. For the person making the mistake or the public. I completely understand that your post is relevant, but what I posted is still my personal opinion of what should happen in this type of situation. And since I feel that it was relevant as well, there is no reason I should hesitate to post it.

I advise you avoid personal attacks on the computer because it really shows your character. I don’t expect everyone in the world to agree with me, but I don’t have the time and energy to attack everyone who challenges or opposes my opinion.

I guess I span all eras with my faves for the Yankees. There have been old/new bridges before, but there were always players that still were fun to watch. (Of course, I have been a Yankees fan for over 40 years, so believe me when I say I really DO follow the pinstripes and not necessarily the players). I mean it went Babe and Gehrig to DiMaggio to Yogi to Mantle to Stottlemyre to Murcer/Blomberg to Thurman and Louisiana Lightning and then a big jump. But even in that time between the 80/81 team till the 90s greats there were some guys I liked to watch: Danny Tartabull and Matt Nokes and Roberto Kelly and Jim Abbott. My fave all-time NYY is Willie Randolph with 2A being Paully O'Neill and 2B Tino. My other faves are: Giambino (sorry I just loved that Jason!), Guidry, Munson, Sweet Lou (70s were probably my guys and then the Paully patrol!), Elston Howard, Moose, Mel Stottlemyre, Bobby Murcer, Tartabull, Jorge, Gehrig, Matsui, Abbott, Lee Mazzilli, and a few others.

I love Curtis Granderson now and Swisher is a good guy (if not that great a player), and I love a lot of the young kids and of course Mo and Jeter and Hip Hip Jorge (!), but I just am NOT feeling the Teixeiras (my nickname for him is bucktooth cow) and the AJs and the CCs. They are just different to me and I don't feel the same about them. Sure, I go crazy the absolute same when I watch and I am still obsessed with my MLB package and YES is a gift from God to me, but I just don't have the love for the individual players. Jeter looks lonely in that clubhouse! LOL
