Wasn't disappointed

I wasn't sure if I would like this as I am such a big fan of Ripper Street and love historical dramas, there are similarities to RS but it still has an original feel to it and there is a fine cast ensemble. The set and costumes are wonderful and every episode is action packed. It is also compelling viewing for a Brit who is given a taste of the aftermath of the Civil War and the complexities of living with a diverse immigrant population in the Five Points. I think the violence and sex in Copper is not unjustified when depicting the era that the programme is set in. Very enjoyable and worth watching.
