If you liked Copper...(or if you didn't)

You'll love another programme called 'Ripper Street', the writing is good. And it has Matthew Macfadyn in it and the guy who plays Bronn in Game of Thrones.

Thanks. I'll give it a try

I've seen it. Excellent show! Love the cast and the writing.

I enjoyed that show a lot; it reminded me of Copper.

reply

Ah, see. Now Ripper Street is the show I wanted Copper to be. RS rocks. :)

I need to catch up on Ripper Street. I watched the first episode or two when it first came on, but then I would forget about it and get engrossed in other shows. So, I plan on catching up on season 1 (it's available to stream instantly in Netflix, for anyone who has it!) before season 2 airs in December, as Damien Molony (a favorite of mine from Being Human-UK) is joining the cast! Hey, whatever gets people watching, right?! And I guess we better be sure to watch while we can, so it won't end up cancelled, like Copper.

Exactly. I'd hate to see RS get cancelled, too. :(

Season one of Ripper Street, I'd have to say the last half of the season is the best. It's like the show warms up and gets better as it goes along.

Thanks! I love Matthew Macfadyn.

Matthew Macfadyen could easily play a brother/cousin to Clive Owen. Major eye candy there on both fronts.

I was kind of excited about that at first specifically because of McFayden, but the first two episodes put me off. Suppose it's worth another shot though.

reply

Apparently it's getting a second series out next year :)

reply

That's Jerome Flynn. First episode I watched I'm thinking, "who is that?" and then it came to me.
