Why are they all speaking English??

Why????

reply

So the movie didn't need to be subtitled I guess.

reply

a better question would be "why are they speaking broken English with bad accents". why not have them speak normal American, since it's an american production. it's hard to take this movie seriously when the characters sound like bad racial stereotypes

reply

What a silly position to take. Spanish accents convey the lilt and timbre of the language and the mindset it reflects. American accents would be stupid.

reply

Americans are too lazy to read subtitles. A double whammy would be a film in black and white. It wouldn't sell two tickets for a couple to make-out to.

reply

It isn't actually about being lazy but wanting to watch the movie instead of read a short story with audio effects.

reply

Oh yes another "I'm so cool I bash Americans lol I'm so hardcore"

Grow up you dumb troll!

financial ignorance at it's finest.

reply

Jesus christ you americans are embarrassing

reply

sloveniapower1 > LOL I know right... I wonder how they watch "foreign movies"...
Oh right, they don't... most of the times they call European movies "too french" or "boring" for their Yankee minds... If there's no fancy CGI and cars exploding... why bother? 

reply

That's exactly right. Besides, foreign movies suck.

reply

I can bet you've watched a foreign movie and loved it. You just don't know it was foreign in the first place.

reply

Why would I pay good money to have to read a movie?

Looking down to read words takes away hugely from what a movie wants to tell us. A movie is about what is on screen. A way an actor moves, the way their eyes tell a scene, the cinematography.. etc etc

If I have to look down and read, I am missing the movie.

I have seen many foreign films, although I only rent them or watch for free.

Here's an idea for you d/psh/t.... instead of complaining, invent flucking headphones for movie theaters that have built in translators... Then everyone's happy.

Have a nice day.

GROW UP!!!!!!

FOR CHRIST SAKE, GROW UP YOU PEOPLE!!!!!

English speaking audiences are just used to watching movies in their own language! People who speak other languages got used and accustomed to watching subtitles and it doesn't involve a great amount of work!

When I was 7 I couldn't watch movies with subtitles as I wasn't used to it. Spaniards hate subtitles and and mourned when Homer Simpson's Spanish voice passed away!

It's not about maturity, it's about training your ear and eyes!

Different cultures have different opinions and predispositions! One is not more stupid than the other!

If you don't like how other people watch their movies, well, mind your own business and let them be!

reply

When the actor is speaking in a foreign language you lose a lot of the acting nuance.

It's dumb to say you'd never watch a movie with subtitles. It's not dumb to say you prefer movies with subtitles. It's common sense.

reply

Yes, playtheraces, exactly!! Thank you.

You're an idiot too.

I love how you morons blame Anerica for everything. Like your country is sooo great! Loser.

reply

So would they dub in Spanish for the Latino audience? Or put subtitles for them?

reply

Both.

reply

No trolls like you who hate on other countries. Grow up!

reply

Don't act dense, you know why they speak English.
