Love the story, but....

I've gandered at the story line, and it looks good, a new enemy that we've been waiting for, and they look a lot more deadly then elites. My issue however is what they've done to the multiplayer, as it looks like CoD, which is okay for CoD, but not for something like Halo. Something that confuses me though is that they've introduced Mech to the game, and with Spartans being effectively nerfed in multiplayer, how will they stand against it? I am sure however that when I get a hands on of this game, my worries will be put to rest, Bungie wouldn't hand over the torch if they weren't up to the same standard, or even better then them. I felt I needed to share this worry and I'm just wondering if there is anyone that feels the same.

It's far from Call of Duty trash. It's the Old Halo multiplayer evolved. It plays a lot like Halo 3 but much more fast paced. And the ordinance drops make for an interesting, and very good direction.

Short answer: It's incredible

I agree I think the multiplayer plays more like old school halo with some upgrades. As far as the story goes I'm not impressed

I get the feeling You haven't put it together. Don't just hate it because you haven't a damn clue to what it's really about. If you know what's happening you'd understand that this is not a simple story. I'll assume you know what your talking about and that your opinion is valued I just personally find it hard to believe anyone interested in scifi isn't even remotely impressed at this story. I dives deep into complex issues that humanity is faced with and puts a conflict that stretches our imagination all while holding up some epic game play. The books are very clever, I'd suggest reading them before experiencing the story in the games to really understand halo's universe but all in all maybe it's just not your cup of tea. Why complain then? Just play another game or make up some fan fiction on what you think it should have been...

Jesus, dude. He's just saying he didn't like the story. I loved the story, but if someone doesn't like it, then who cares? It's nothing to get worked up over.

Don't even remember this but I've seen this scenario a million times. Both sides of the table and it's a bit sickening really. I see people just disregard a story simply because they don't take the time to understand it. It's not big deal it never was. I just would have liked to see more description on what wasn't impressive. I see that crap all the time with all these damn trolls everywhere and mental BS going on. Seriously all the crazy fan obsessions, ranting, mindless opinions... it's no wonder I don't stick around any of these places much. It will rot your brain.
You have to enjoy a game yourself and you also have to take the time to enjoy the game and understand the style and presentation. I can look up any halo game and there is these anti-[insertGAMETITLE] people just ranting about how it's a Microsoft game or that it took away their favorite gun or that there wasn't enough action or killing in this scene. They just don't look at a game from what the creators designed it to be, but instead look at it from their own personal expectation and wants out of it. That kind of thinking just can't be fulfilled and for some reason it can corrupt other peoples thinking. they get pulled into the illogical arguments and accept the claims without full thought and support bogus claims. DO you see where I'm coming from? I'm just so tired of "trolls"(even hate the word to describe "them") and that stupid nonsense. I am indeed wasting my time trying.

It wasn't a bad game. Is it the best game? nah. It didn't completely blow your socks off with it's feel but it was worth playing and appreciating what it had to offer imo. Do I think next two installments will be good? hell yeah.

I thought the story was decent, but the multiplayer was horrendous. The gameplay graphics were horrible and unfortunately OP, you were right when you said it looked like a Call of Duty wannabe.
