Anyone find this one the hardest of the Halo games?

Well it was to me. I guess I'm about to stormed by replies saying "OMG THIS WAS THE EASIEST HALO UR A NOOB HAW HAW!" Oh well. Anyway, I think this was the hardest Halo campaign. I have gotten better at killing Forerunners and I know a bit more of their tactics thanks to Spartan Ops, but back when I first played it all night after the Midnight launch there were all new to me. Usually in Halo games me and my team of Marines go in guns blazing, but this time around while my marines and Spartan IV's charged in and got killed, I had to be more stealthy and take cover more. I think Halo 4 is my 2nd favorite Halo Campaign, even though it seems like the missions have no replay value to me. Well, I would play some of the missions with Co-Op, only none of my friends have Halo 4. Well, one of them does, but I haven't seen him online since 2 weeks after the game came out. Anyway, anyone agree with me it seems like you had to take cover more in this one and that it was the hardest? *prepares for being saying its the easiest cause that always happens*

If you count ODST as a Halo game I think that was the hardest. You always seemed outmatched and the game seemed to pile on enemies just for the sake of piling on. Among the main games there were parts where I literally died 50 times before I got through, this was on Legendard so that might be expected. But I didn't die anymore than 10 times at any one spot in this game. The enemies punish bad aim more in Halo 4 than any other I believe. So I don't think its a hard game in and of itself, its the learning curve thats hard.

no its pretty easy.
even with a few skulls turned on legendary isnt a challenge. not a big one anyway

Halo 3 is still the hardest IMO. It's been awhile, but I remember it taking me quite awhile to beat Solo on Legendary. I never played more than 30 min of ODST or Reach so I can't speak on there behalf

I agree. I died so many times each mission thanks to the new enemies. I think at points it just got ridiculous. This and ODST were the two hardest games in the series.

It's hard in that you have to have patience and good aim. Otherwise there's not a lot of good gameplay involved.

On the higher difficulties, it's a bit boring. You just spend all your time hiding and picking off the enemies one by one, hoping you don't miss or don't duck back under cover just right when they throw a grenade. Otherwise you have to start all over. It's all the same, that way. None of the strategy and movement you had in the other Halo games. Just fire and hide and wait. Fire and hide and wait.

You hit the nail on the head, there.

It's made especially tedious with the obnoxiously S...L...O...W shield regen delay. Slows the whole game down and destroys the more fast-paced quality which was present in earlier games.
