I just watched every episode straight through and the decline in quality is obvious, its almost like they cant keep anyone on contract and watching a show like this with an ever changing cast is not working. And having Katie hooking up with every black dude like she's a Kardashian is

You hate Congress but every election you re-elect YOUR "guy" and wonder why things never change!

I think this series was a lot better than last. Rose the gran wasn't really funny and luckily they got rid of her. Bringing Katie back was probably a way to keep the old fans but making her and Daniel an item didn't fully work. It's a shame Julie wasn't in it. The series has lost its spark. The butchers were the best duo the banter just felt so natural. Margaret is still funny.

If they brought back a few of the characters it might be better again. It
wasn't a bad season, but it's seen better.

It's not as funny as it once was. I feel like they've maybe ran out of ideas. I was surprised we got this series to be honest after last

Me too, kinda. I honestly thought the show was done after the weak fourth series and wasn't really looking forward to it when I read that there actually would be a fifth series - but ended up watching it anyway and agree with those who said that it was a lot better than S04. Glad they got rid of Rose and I won't miss Charlie too much either, while it's good to see Katie back.

As for people coming and going - I'd say it's more or less common with longer running shows, especially in the UK with its shorter seasons. In this very case it sort of adds to the realism, though - if I look at the staff of my local supermarket, there's the branch manager who's been there since twenty years or so, a couple of staff members working there for a few years, but mostly folks who work there for a few weeks/months/up to a year and then move on for whatever reasons... and that's pretty much what's happening on Trollied, isn't it?

I think series 5 was infinitely better than 4. Miriam Margolyes is a great actress but I HATED the Rose character so it was much improved just on that front. I actually liked Charlie above Katie especially what the latter had become in this latest series. I could live without Ian, Harry or Heather, but I quite like the relationship between Neville & Linda and also Gavin & Cheryl. Really want a series 6 now, but I don't know if the fact that the actor playing Colin has now popped up in Corrie is a sign that it's not going to happen.

I enjoyed trollied a lot. Got slack with watching the last couple of seasons. Change of cast killed it. Andy first. Leighton and Kieron. Found the fish mongers hilarious but they soon left. Favourite character is Colin. I hope they can get some of the original characters back. Andy, leighton and fhe Fish mongers would do it for me

Series 6 is greenlit

Filming starts in June and Andy is reported to be in 1 episode, so fingers crossed...
