Seriously? Xiaoyu and Panda?!

Well i ve been expecting for TBV quite a long time. I mean for an official movie release of tekken not involving stupid directors that ruin movies make them look like *beep* cosplay!

But come on...SERIOUSLY?! the main characters are Xiaoyu Alisa and Panda?! U kidding me?! yes ok there is nina, anna but where is King Paul Yoshimitsu Hwoarang Eddy Bryan Mitchelle etc... i wanted to see some real fighting like the one in the games which i saw only at the end of the movie with the final fight.. But the rest movie was some shallow-silly-high school-girl *beep*

Fishnet / legs / ponytails / and girlish exclamations in "awe" are what this movie really left me with...

Its a pity...

I never played the games, and am not sure what the film-makers had in mind. From what I've heard it's a sequel to the games, but considering Lee and what's his face being a gym teacher, I don't know. But I didn't really have a problem with Xiaoyu and Allisa, or Panda, even though in the end they didn't really have anything to do with the final confrontation, and their point of their involvment kind of turned out to be a red herring. It would've been nice had the film focused more on Jin, and his father and grandfather, though.

Yes, but in the games, that's all the story revolves around. Especially in Tekken 6. It's always about the Kazamas and the Mishimas, with everybody else either getting in the way, working for them or fighting for their own cause.

Xiaoyu was a big fan favorite in Tekken 3 and felt like a forgotten character since then. I loved that they brought her back in the spotlight and didn't force-feed us the Mishima/Kazama family dysfunction for a while. The movie was basically a spinoff.

according to the special features interview they made them main characters (as well as alisa) so they could reach a wider audience (that audience being gurlz lol that's why we got that whole fan-service scene with shin probably)

shallow high school girls playing detectives = *beep* indeed
