For those who've seen this movie and the Ethan Green movie

I'm wondering about the "Hat sisters" who appear at Roger and Tyler's wedding. They look the same as the two from the movie The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green. I remembered later that one of those Sisters was Richard Riehle, who is Tyler's father in Bear City 2, so I'm wondering whether putting Hat sisters in this movie was a joke reference or are they a known figure from somewhere and just tend to appear in various gay movies?
