Now I've only seen a few films with sac Efron in but does anyone else feel like he would be great in like a gangster role in a Scorsese film? Like Ray liotta in goodfellas or Leonardo di caprio in wild of Wall Street? Opinions? Ideas?

No, you're wrong. I don't know whether he is a great actor, because he hasn't had the vehicle to demonstrate his full talent. But he can't be a horrible actor, the simple proof being that he has been cast in leading roles in something like 20 movies. Most young actors are one-hit wonders and quickly disappear. A lot of critics said that after High School Musical was such a big hit. Yet he keeps sailing on, landing two or three lead roles per year, and established stars such as Seth Rogen and Wayne The Rock Johnson seek him out and want to work with him. There must be something there.
shareYeah I agree 100% there had not been any films that really demonstrate his acting at full potential and there is something very leading and lively about him that he gives of a di caprio type vibe that I think could be very useful.
shareI think you're right, but he needs to be smart now, enjoy the fame that "Neighbors" give to him and star in every comedy maybe not will help his career (at least not those stupid comedies like "Dirty Grandpa"), I remember a lot of stars appeared in the same time that him in the industry and they didn't had the same luck, you remember Michael Cera that stars in like 8 comedies between 2007 and 2010 doing hte same character then quickly disappeared? Or Megan Fox that had her body explored by industry untill we get tired? I think his career is maybe at this point now, but he can do so much better
