6.4? Isn't that a bit harsh?

Hamzawesome, I thought it was awesome.

It's a solid 7/10 from me. I actually found it pretty funny and I think it's pretty underrated. I don't get what's so bad about it

I'm watching this right now and I'm not very impressed... Every decent joke is just run into the ground with scenes that feel like they go on forever...

There's like four or five laugh out loud funny moments surrounded by an hour and a half of painfully awkward and unfunny crap. For real, it's like they were trying to troll the audience. So bad.

I think it's about right. Don't forget that 6.4 is an above-average rating. Look at other movies with that rating and there are many well-known, popular, legendary movies in that zone. Many all-time classics only rate in the low-7 range.

My opinion of the movie was that I was pleasantly surprised by the sustained wackiness. There were no slow areas and the pacing was pretty good. I laughed out loud quite few times which is always a good sign for me.

Generally you know what you're getting with a Seth Rogen movie and this was no different.

6.4 is way too high for this. Just pointless. I didn't expect Ben-Hur, but I did expect to laugh and enjoy for a few hours. I gave it a 3

6.4 isn't low. It's well above average given the number of votes. And comedies don't tend to fare well on the imdb ratings system because so many people look down their noses at comedy films. 6.4 for a comedy is actually a pretty solid rating. For reference, here are a couple other quality comedy films of fairly recent vintage and their imdb ratings:

I don't know about you, but I love all these films. 40 Year Old Virgin especially. If 40 YO Virgin is a 7.2 and Neighbors is a 6.4, I think that speaks pretty highly of Neighbors. The Big Lebowski is comedy perfection and even that's only an 8.2. Comedies in general rate lower than they should be. Even the Oscars neglect comedy and treat them as inferior films.

This wasn't a great comedy, but it was solid with some really funny bits. I think 6.4 is fair. I gave it a 7.
