Awful, predictable, rip-off of Running Man

*Sigh* I will never watch another movie that has a 5. anything on this site again. Terrible dialogue, cheesy characters, just garbage. I knew how it would end because I've seen stories like this before. Running Man (the book), The Long Walk Home, both Stephen King novels did this way better. GTFOH.

In what universe is this even close to The Running Man?

reply

Nothing like running man

How was this trying to be The Running Man, or The Long Walk Home??? This focused on a group of strangers participating in a sick parlor game. Please let me know how that's similar.

reply

I must admit, the ending of this film was predictable (for me anyway). I won't post any spoilers, but I will say that I had a strong sense of what was going to happen once the game was over.

I honestly wasn't sure what would happen. But either way, the story still got my attention immediately. The message is an important one. Society does force people into impossible choices and then congratulates us for selling our souls.

"The good guys always win...even in the 80s!"

Interesting observation on the parallel with the often limited choices we often have in order to get by and make our way in society.

Those have nothing to do with this movie's plot. This movie centers around a sick parlor game. The Long Walk Home starred Whoopi Goldberg and Sissy Spacek, and dealt with race relations. The Running Man had to do with prisoners.

reply

@JaysonT, lol! The Long Walk Home is a book by Stephen King written as Richard Bachman. It has nothing to do with that movie.

reply

Stephen Kings book as written as Richard Bachman is simply "The Long Walk". I've never seen the long walk home, but I know it's not based on that book.

Cheers.

Look it's obvious you never watched the movie. This movie is as close to Goldilocks and the Three Bears as The Running Man.

Show a little integrity and watch a movie before commenting.
