Amy and her daughter (spoilers)

So I watched this movie last night, and around this board I've noticed only one person really mention Amy's fate tied in with her backstory.
She passes on 2 minutes in the barrel, which shepard knew she would do. So he sticks her with 4 minutes. He mentions to her that she watched her daughter drown in a bathtub at the hands of the father.
Of any death in the film, this is the only one that felt like sweet justice.
shepard was an evil basket-case, but I do applaud him for avenging a child's murder, to the one who was supposed to protect that child, in the same slow painful death that her daughter endured.

I find that in most movies like this they give you at least one person you are glad gets killed. In some cases you want them all killed.

Why do you assume Amy was complicit in her daughter's death? The husband probably beat her near-senseless before turning on the kid.

She is the token jackhole who you hope/know will get it in the end. He didn't say she watched her husband kill her daughter, he asked her how long did she think it took him to drowned her daughter. For all we know she wasn't even around when he did it. Oh and he did say the cards were passed out at random to them. I doubt he lied about that because he would have achieved satisfaction regardless of who did what and when.

Yeah, this would make sense except that they made it a point to say the baby was murdered by her husband (or boyfriend). They also made sure to show her looking sad for the first time. He was tormenting her about something that already hurt her. So he avenged nothing.

I don't think it said what she was there for, but she may have been there for hospital bills and funeral costs for the daughter.

He also does not say that she watched her daughter drown (not sure where you came up with that). If you would like proof, here's the clip.
