(It's been a while but I'm pretty sure, at one point, he even fantasized about impregnating her, with the hopes of having a daughter to move on to when Lolita no longer held his interests.)
Breathe In is about a 40ish year old man who feels he has no control and is trapped in a life he doesn't want, finding a kindred soul, an 18 year old with similar interests, who listens to him and supports his ideas.
Other then the approximate age of the lead male, I see nothing similar between the two. And if you do, you need help.
