One of my favorite moments was that last shot of Guy Pearce's face as they're taking their yearly family photos. Despite his smile, you can see the unhappiness in his eyes, and then his smile faulters. It's quite a downer ending.

i dont agree. whole scene was pointless. what was the point of engaging in an affair if they were not going finish what they started in the first place. most unsatisfying ending in history. i was waiting whole movie for something to happen. it diddnt happen even when movie ended
