theater too big

playing to that many people and in such a splendid theater is definitely a sign of success, but it's just not good for stand up. it's a different vibe, and the comedian can't catch a wave when the laughter is coming in delayed from long distances. it's ridiculous to film a special in such a venue.

that swinging dick joke made me heave laughing. grandma fake passing out. and for some odd reason when he tripped in the bank robbery scene while walking all cool made snot come out of my nose for the first time in a long time. but there are some style issues that were bugging. pretense/preamble as setup "i'm just being honest". filler is what all that is. i couldn't believe the vibe of this show after "seriously funny," which i can show to literally anyone to get a belly laugh.

maybe some of it was material, but i contend the major problem was the theater.
