Was Mutti jealous of Lore

When Vati came home and Lore was standing on the steps still wet from her bath wearing her nightgown which clung to her body showing off her figure Vati made the comment let me look at you you look so different now. Mutti looked uncomfortable with his actions. Then when they show Mutti clasping her bra she looks in the mirror at her half naked self and starts crying.

------------SPOILERS AHEAD----------------------

I don't know if she was jealous of Lore. She was definitely angry at her, but I got the impression it was more about her own "spent" youth (probably being married to a man who turned out to be a "coward" in her estimation). I think she would have welcomed his advances if she was thinking along the lines of him being interested in Lore as a developing woman. She not only outright rejected him, she insulted him.

I was a bit shocked that she was not more loving/kind to any of her children actually. Remember, Lore had to take her mother's arm and put it around baby Peter while allowing him to nurse. The mother's eyes were cast off in the distance during what is typically a bonding moment between mother and infant. I also would have expected her to have some kind of "goodbye" and loving moment with all her children knowing she would probably not see them again, at least for awhile. She conducted it like some sort of business transaction (here's the directions and the valuables and then turning to walk away when Lore followed her out on the path).

Whether she was just caught up in her own fears about what punishment she would face or was just "emotionally gone" because of the war's exhausting toll on her as head of the household while her husband was away was never made clear.
